FLOWART BY LUXI LUXI

RoPE POI – the first LED poi where the entire rope and head glow with animation.

Most LED poi only light up the head, so your audience sees two glowing dots. RoPE by LUXI LUXI turns the entire rope and head into a living line of light, so every movement paints a hypnotic trail in the air.

  • Designed by Jakub Burian
  • Made in the Czech Republic
  • Tested by professional spinners and performers

Neither the public nor the competition has seen this yet.

Why RoPE feels like a different instrument, not just another LED poi.

RoPE is the first system where the rope itself carries digital LEDs and runs synchronised animations from knob to tip. Instead of two dim balls, your audience sees full‑length light choreography with every move.

At a glance:

  • Full‑length glowing rope + head with animations – first in the world.
  • Up to 20 hours of battery life for long rehearsals and shows.
  • 27 light modes controlled by button or Spectoda Connect app.
  • 3D‑printed ergonomic knob with bearing for smooth, precise spinning.

Common LED poi

  • Light rope with animations: only the head glows, rope almost invisible.
  • Number of LEDs: approx. 10–20 in the head only.
  • Battery life: typically 30–60 minutes.
  • Light modes: 3–8 basic presets.
  • Control: single button only.
  • Ergonomics: standard knob, no bearing.

RoPE by LUXI LUXI

  • Light rope with animations: full rope + head glow, first in the world.
  • Number of LEDs: 25–100 digital LEDs in rope + head.
  • Battery life: approx. 30 minutes up to 20 hours (model and brightness).
  • Light modes: 27 curated modes for performance and photography.
  • Control: intuitive button + Spectoda Connect mobile app.
  • Ergonomics: 3D‑printed knob with bearing, tuned weight and balance.

How did we put the light into the rope?

The technology behind the magic.

RoPE combines digital LEDs, intelligent control and robust construction – so you can focus on flow while the tech quietly does the work.

01 · Digital LEDs in the rope

Each RoPE contains 25–100 individually addressable LEDs sewn into the rope. This allows smooth gradients, pulses and patterns to travel along the full length, not just blink at the ends.

02 · Intelligent synchronisation

The head and rope run as one continuous animation. From the knob to the very tip, every pixel is timed so your effects flow as a single organism, not separate parts.

03 · Durable construction

Flexible insulation and specialised wiring protect the LEDs from thousands of spins. When the rope eventually wears, you can replace it without buying a whole new set.

Your show before vs your show with RoPE.

From two glowing dots to sculpting light in the air.

Without RoPE

The audience sees two glowing balls. Rope movement is almost invisible. Long‑exposure photos become two simple lines with little sense of depth or structure.

With RoPE

Every part of the rope paints light. Your audience follows the entire path of each move. Long‑exposure images turn into detailed light artwork that looks almost unreal – but is captured in‑camera.

“The first time I saw RoPE live, I thought, ‘This isn’t poi. This is a light sculpture in the air.’”

How to get the most out of your RoPE.

RoPE is built for serious spinning – but like any precision tool, a few habits will dramatically extend its life.

DO

  • Always hold the knob with bearing when spinning.
  • Spin from the fingers and wrist rather than the whole arm.
  • Focus on manipulation, tosses and technical spinning styles.
  • Remember: the rope is replaceable once LEDs start to fail, so you can refresh without buying a new head.

DON’T

  • Avoid extreme tangles, orbitals, gyros and traps that twist the rope excessively.
  • Don’t hold the rope directly while spinning – always use the knob.
  • Do not expose RoPE to water or heavy rain (not waterproof).
  • Avoid clipping or attaching the rope without knob rotation – this can stress the area behind the knob.

Pro tip: when the full length of the rope stops lighting reliably or begins to flicker, simply order a replacement LED rope for 49 EUR and refresh your setup.

The first spinners have tried it. And they’re thrilled.

RoPE has been in the hands of professional fire artists, instructors and photographers before launch. Here’s how they describe it.

“Finally a poi where the audience can see every movement of the rope, not just the ends. For stage work, it’s a genuine game‑changer.”

Professional fire spinner

“I’ve been spinning for almost three decades. RoPE is the biggest innovation I’ve seen in 28 years – a true step change in how light tools behave.”

Flow art instructor

“The long‑exposure photos look like CGI renders, but they’re straight out of the camera. RoPE turns simple tricks into complex light structures.”

Designed by a spinner who knows the pains of other spinners.

Meet Jakub Burian – the mind behind RoPE.

RoPE started as Jakub’s personal frustration. Existing LED poi were not bright enough along the rope, offered too few modes, ran out of battery too quickly and didn’t look impressive from close up or in photos.

So he did what many spinners dream about – he built the tool he wanted but couldn’t buy, and then spent years refining it with professionals.

  • 2020 – first idea and sketches.
  • 2021–2022 – prototype development and first working ropes.
  • 2023 – intensive testing with professional flow artists and photographers.
  • 2024 – final version refined for reliability and ease of use.
  • 2025 – public launch of RoPE by LUXI LUXI.

24 months of assurance. And a rope you can replace any time.

RoPE is a precision instrument built for real‑world use. Our warranty and service are designed to keep you spinning, not worrying.

Warranty covers

  • Manufacturing defects in electronics.
  • Internal electrical failures under normal use.
  • Defects or damage caused during delivery.

Warranty does not cover

  • Mechanical damage from extreme tricks or misuse.
  • Any water damage – RoPE is not waterproof.
  • Natural wear of LEDs and battery cells over time.

Replaceable LED rope – when LEDs no longer light along the full length or start flickering, you can install a new LED rope yourself.

  • Replacement price: 49 EUR.
  • User‑replaceable with step‑by‑step instructions in the manual.
  • Keeps your RoPE performing like new for years.

You ask. We answer.

If you’re planning to use RoPE on stage, in classes or for photography, these are the details that usually matter most.

Is RoPE durable enough for regular spinning and practice?

Yes. RoPE is designed for frequent practice and performance, with flexible insulation and internal wiring that protect the LEDs during normal spinning, manipulation and tosses. As with any precision prop, avoiding extreme tangles and over‑twisting will significantly extend its lifespan.

What happens if some LEDs in the rope break?

If LEDs along the rope begin to fail or flicker, you do not need to replace the entire poi. You can order a replacement LED rope for 49 EUR and fit it yourself using the instructions supplied in the digital manual.

How long does charging take?

Approximate charging times from near empty are around 2 hours for RoPE Poi (1050 mAh battery) and about 3 hours for RoPE Meteor and RoPE Dart (3200 mAh battery), using a 5 V / 2 A USB‑C charger.

What are the weight ranges?

RoPE Poi typically ranges from 145–255 g depending on configuration, while RoPE Meteor and RoPE Dart range from 180–330 g. Within those ranges, weight can be tuned to match your preferences.

Is RoPE waterproof?

No. RoPE is not waterproof and should not be used in the rain or submerged in water. Avoid moisture to protect the electronics and maintain warranty coverage.

Can I sync multiple RoPEs together?

Yes. Using the Spectoda Connect app, you can link multiple RoPE devices and run the same mode, colour and brightness across all of them. The “All Off” command also powers them down together.

Do you deliver across the EU and is shipping free?

We ship across the European Union. Orders over 200 EUR qualify for free EU shipping; smaller orders are charged at an affordable flat rate shown at checkout.

What is your returns policy?

If RoPE is not what you expected, you can return it within 14 days in its original condition for a refund, no questions asked. Full details are available in our Terms and Conditions.
